FIRST VISIT

Patient Forms

Upon entering our office our receptionist will greet you and welcome you as a member of our family.  We request you complete our patient forms from this web site, they are  located in the New Patient Center. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition and is ESSENTIAL if you have insurance that needs to be filed.

Consultation

Next you will have a consultation with your doctor to discuss your health-related concerns, as well as potential diagnostic options. Your first visit is designed for your doctor to learn more about you, your condition and your expectations to determine whether chiropractic care can meet your goals.

Examination

After your consultation, your doctor will perform a complete chiropractic functional examination. The examination will help determine the imbalance in your body that contributes to the neurological stress that may be interfering with your health. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

X-Rays (if necessary)

Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to thoroughly evaluate your health. X-rays help us rule out more serious conditions and assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you.  Most people are amazed once they see their x-rays and can often immediately identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.

SECOND VISIT

Report of Findings

Once all the information, examinations and diagnostic procedures have been performed and reviewed, your doctor will give you a report of findings. We require that you bring your spouse, family member or significant other with you for this report. We cover a great deal of information and it is always helpful to have someone with you for this visit as we answer the three most popular questions:

  1. Can you help me?
  2. What do you recommend that I do to get better?
  3. How much is it going to cost?

After a review of your tests your doctor will discuss recommendations with you. If your condition requires care with other providers, the doctor will help refer you to the proper provider. If your doctor believes we can help you, we will recommend care, discuss frequency and duration, and review the costs of care.

Chiropractic Adjustments

Patients will generally be provided their first adjustment at the conclusion of the report of findings on the second visit. It is important that you express any concerns you have about the style of adjustment so that we can establish an adjusting technique most comfortable to you.

Wellness Lifestyle

Patients will be instructed regularly about the importance of a wellness lifestyle to be conducted at home. If you are in pain, this may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.  If you desire an overall wellness lifestyle, our wellness team will work with you to create good habits and routines that support your success.  Every body is unique and different and therefore everyone requires a unique and customized wellness plan.  The foundation of our overall wellness lifestyle is maintaining healthy posture and good spinal alignment, eating a healthy diet, taking supplements, keeping your weight under control and reducing stress.
